Starfrost (UK) Ltd is a global market leader in industrial freezing and chilling systems.

Established in 1984, Starfrost has supplied custom built freezing equipment to food processors in over 50 countries worldwide.

Starfrost’s fully automated freezing and chilling systems are designed to boost production, maximise efficiency and reduce running costs.

Starfrost specialises in spiral, IQF tunnel and contact freezers and chillers. Using the latest refrigeration technology, Starfrost manufactures bespoke freezing and chilling systems for food products including ready meals, meat, poultry, fish, seafood, vegetables, pastries and cakes.

As well as designing automated systems to increase manufacturing efficiency, many Starfrost installations are driven by the customer’s need to reduce nitrogen freezing costs.

One recent installation generated an 80 per cent reduction in running costs compared to the previous nitrogen system.

Starfrost designs low to medium capacity freezers and chillers, as well as larger site-built systems for major manufacturers.

Starfrost’s freezing equipment range includes the Spiral Helix, Starlite HT, Turbo IQF and StarContact. Starfrost also offers CIP (Clean in Place) sanitising systems.

In 2004 Starfrost was acquired by Star Refrigeration, the UK’s largest independent refrigeration engineering company.

Together the two companies are pioneering the commercial application of new developments in CO2 refrigeration technology. In addition to its UK headquarters and manufacturing facility in Suffolk, Starfrost has sales offices and agents in Poland, Russia, Norway, Italy, South America and the Middle East.
