ALTO Optimises Planning And Scheduling Processes With ORTEMS
Located in the heart of Brittany, the manufacturer of ALTHO crisps better known under the Bret's brand, produces the equivalent of 19,000 tons of crisps per year.

ALTHO is one of the leading players in the crisps market in France, a market occupied by 3 main players: PEPSICO, ALTHO and VICO. In this ultra-competitive context that requires outstanding responsiveness, ALTHO has decided to optimize its planning and scheduling processes with the solutions offered by the ORTEMS APS vendor as a complement to its SAGE ERPX3 ERP package.

ALTHO's business activity is highly seasonal. Consequently, it is difficult to anticipate the load schedules and optimize and readjust planning that by nature is highly complex and subject to temperature fluctuations and weather uncertainties.

ALTHO expects to improve its manufacturing and raw material procurement planning capabilities, optimize its inventory policy and plant load schedules and wants to make swifter decisions through improved visibility. It wants to do all of this to meet ALTHO's major goal: improve the service level for its customers and optimize production costs.

"This effort adds to the many ORTEMS credentials in the agrobusiness industry and we are very pleased to cooperate with ALTHO and to work with them to implement this project", said Frederic Faysse, Sales Manager at ORTEMS. "By implementing our solutions ALTHO will be able to develop and execute increasingly reliable and robust production plans."

We were impressed with the food industry functionality already included within the LINKFresh solution.
