New Look For Yeo As Top Notch New Products Set To Rule The Shelves
Yeo Valley, the British family-run dairy company, has unveiled a new look across its dairy range and introduced a host of new yogurts, all to be on shelf this March.

The Somerset-based organic company has introduced additional lines to the collection, along with a brand new premium range called Top Notch.

The organic brand has also refreshed its packaging with new hand-illustrated design and refreshed brand logo.

The entire Yeo Valley range will feature a new logo and packaging design from early March.

The new-look has been designed to illustrate the Yeo Valley taste and reflect the brands ethos as an independent family farming business from the West Country.

The new packaging features colourful, hand illustrated images of fruit and flowers, and is complemented by a new logo a white heart containing the words Yeo Valley Family Farm, designed to communicate the real-life family farm and show the heart of the brand is in Somersets Yeo Valley.

Every product will also carry a 100% Yeoganic message Yeo Valleys own description reflecting its total organic status and ethical farming procedures, outlining the extra care and attention Yeo Valley takes to be sustainable and look after the land and livestock on the farm.

The packaging will also feature the Soil Associations new Ethical Trade badge, an accreditation mark recognising Yeo Valleys ethical trading policy.

Tim Mead, Managing Director of Yeo Valley said: We wanted to evolve our look and feel to show our customers what Yeo Valley is all about; making the best yogurts in a real place the Yeo Valley.

We have developed some fantastic new recipes and also moved on our packaging to reflect who we really are.

We feel that it now communicates delicious dairy.

We looked for a way to communicate our total support for organic and sustainable farming, and came up with Yeoganic This will be used to show our passion for organic, ethical farming and how we always going that extra mile to nurture the farm and valley.

Were proud to be an independent family business, weve spent the last 50 years farming in Somerset.

We have families of cows that have been with us from 1961 and so it will come as no surprise our aim is to provide great tasting dairy products for the families of Britain.

We believe in going beyond expectations and doing the right thing to ensure the future of British farming isnt just about the next five years we plan to be here forever.

Yeo Valley will be extending its signature range with the introduction of new Mild and Creamy a natural yogurt with a thick and velvety texture and a slightly milder flavour than the original.

Made to appeal to a broad range of palettes, with a rich and slightly sweeter taste, it will be available in a Big Pot (500g) from March, RRP 1.49.

Yeo Valleys improved 0% Fat Natural is now thicker and still fat free.

The 0% Fat Natural is available as individual pots (150g) RRP 0.53, Big Pots (500g) 1.49 and a large Fridge Door Pot (1kg) 2.59.

These products will join the existing range of Natural and Greek-style natural yogurts and all will be packaged .in pots adorned with daisies.

Within the Big Pot (450g) range Yeo Valley is introducing a number of new lines, including new Rhubarb, Peach & Apricot, Blueberry with a hint of Lime, Raspberry & Passion Fruit, Mango & Vanilla and a limited edition Blackcurrant & Elderflower.

The family-friendly 4 pack range will now include single flavour Strawberry (smooth), Raspberry, and Lemon Curd, along with the recently added Pear & Butterscotch, and the Fruity Favourites (Strawberry, Raspberry, Peach & Apricot, Blackcurrant) and Tropical Treats (a blend of Mango, Passion Fruit & Pineapple).

In the Greek-style range, flavours include Greek Style with Coconut, Greek Style with Honey, and Greek Style with Vanilla. Packs are 100 120g per pot with an RRP of 1.79 1.99.

In the Big Greek Pots range a new limited edition Greek Style with Lemon & Ginger will complement the Greek Style with Honey as well as the Greek Style with Coconut and Greek Style with Vanilla which will both move to big pot format.

All 450g big pots are packaged in a luxurious dark blue designed pot, with an RRP 1.89.

Moving into the more luxury market, Yeo Valley is also introducing a brand new premium range called Top Notch.

Designed for two to share, these 450g pots feature Yeo Valleys top-selling vanilla yogurt with a layer of fruit compote.

The three flavours are Sticky Fig & Honey, Zingy Lemon & Lime and Sumptuous Strawberry and will be available exclusively in Tesco with an RRP of 2.

Yeo Valley only uses British organic milk from farms who are part of the Somerset-based organic milk suppliers cooperative (OMSCo) with whom Yeo Valley ethically trade.

Uncle Ben's Celebrates Beiing Healthy In New Campaign
This March, Uncle Bens is launching its biggest ever multi-channel campaign celebrating the healthy ingredients that go into the rice brand, Uncle Bens Express Rice.

The 4m Begin With Ben campaign, consisting of TV, press and outdoor advertising, is aimed at highlighting the nutritional power of a single grain of rice and the goodness to be found in rice meals.

For the first time Uncle Ben is central to the campaign, seen and heard as a rice expert and trusted guide for healthy meals.

From 1 March, a brand new TV advertisement will air showcasing the ingredients that go into Express Rice.

This will coincide with a major national outdoor campaign which will also go live in March, consisting of 48 sheets on major commuter routes and adjacent to supermarkets, alongside digital towers on major UK motorways and a cross-track rail poster campaign to reach train commuters all over the country.

Press support will include a national cover wrap on Metro newspapers, reaching 3.1 million readers in one day.

In addition, in-store communication will be launched to all major retailers, providing meal inspiration to shoppers at point of purchase.

The total Begin With Ben campaign is set to reach 96% of all UK adults, equating to 48m shoppers.

Uncle Bens Express Rice is the UKs number one RTH rice, with a 68.2% value share of the segment across grocery outlets.

Answering the call for ethnically-inspired options, Tandoori and Mixed Pepper are the latest SKUs in the 22-strong range, providing consumers with a larger variety of flavours for convenient meal times.

Food Start Ups Should Relish New Marketing Club
Launching in March 2012, the Relish food & drink marketing club has a unique approach to helping producers to take their ideas to the next level.

Having spent many years working in brands, product development and sales throughout the food industry, Relish founders Jo Densley & Claire Hooper decided there must be a way to share that expertise with smaller foodies.

"The hefty price tag involved with hiring a consultant is simply out of reach for most start ups, particularly in these economic times," says Claire. "We wanted to find a way to make the marketing & business advice needed to get a new food business off the ground - or indeed to take a fledgling brand to the next level - as accessible as possible for smaller business owners."

And so the Relish recipe was created.

Jo explains how the club works: "The Relish club will be dishing up all the tricks of the trade - from how to come up with new recipes that sell, to what makes a brand stand out, to insider info on what really makes retailers want to stock new brands.
