Tesco Launches New 'Food Love Stories' Campaign
Tesco has launched 'Food Love Stories brought to you by Tesco', a new campaign which aims to set out the retailer's food quality credentials and celebrate the passion and care that goes into the meals we all love.

The campaign will introduce food love stories each month to demonstrate Tesco understands the special role food plays in its customers' lives.

The stories will aim to capture the mind-set of its customers throughout the year, from wholesome, hearty meals in January, to fresh, vibrant meals perfect for a summer evening.

The first advert will air on TV and digital media today, with spots in Coronation Street, Emmerdale and The Undateables, and will feature 'David's hot or not chicken curry', while a number of other food love stories will also feature across outdoor, radio, social, and digital media throughout January. Ingredients and recipe cards for each featured meal will be available in all of Tesco's large stores, as well as online at Tesco.com, to help customers create the meals for themselves.

'Food Love Stories brought to you by Tesco' builds on the work Tesco has undertaken over the last two years to improve every aspect of the shopping trip for customers, including improving customer service, lowering prices on thousands of everyday products and introducing its Brand Guarantee service.

Michelle McEttrick, Group Brand Director at Tesco said: “We've always taken great pride in the quality of our food and we know how good food brings people and families together.

“So this January, we're launching 'Food Love Stories brought to you by Tesco', a campaign which puts food at the very heart of our business and tells the stories behind the meals we all make for those closest to us.”

Jason Tarry, Chief Product Officer at Tesco said:

“We're passionate about our food and we work closely with our producers and growers to continually improve the quality and taste of the food we offer.

“Food Love Stories brought to you by Tesco', puts our fantastic food centre stage and we hope to inspire our customers with delicious meals whatever the occasion.”

The campaign represents the first major food campaign for Tesco in partnership with creative agency BBH and media agency MediaCom.

The inspiration for the stories shared in January comes from the comforting family meals we all crave after Christmas. The first of these will be 'David's hot-or-not chicken curry'. The advert shows 'David's' story, who for 15 years has been (lovingly) hiding the fact he doesn't really like 'hot curry' like his wife, and cheats by adding a touch of yoghurt without her knowing. The story will be joined by six others throughout January:

Celebrating Five Years of Hardworking Success
It's time to reach for some delicious Devon fizz. South Hams' based RAW PR & Marketing is celebrating its fifth anniversary and five fantastic years of working with the county's thriving food and drink industry and, more recently, marine leisure organisations.

Established by Hayley Reynolds in 2011, RAW's team now includes fellow director Jonathan Reynolds, who heads up the marine side of the company, and creative PR practitioners Danielle Merchant and Harriet Fitzgerald-Allsopp. In addition, ex Disney PR, Frankie Wilde joins an additional four freelancers who all bring their expertise to the table.

Barbara King, chair of Food & Drink Devon and managing director of The Shops at Dartington, says: “The level of enterprise and creativity within Devon is outstanding. RAW really reflects this and is helping to grow the organisations they work with. The team are a delight to work with, highly professional and their expertise in the field of marketing is both knowledgeable and refreshing. I wish them every success for the next five years, with all aspects of their business!”

RAW's current clients include Food & Drink Devon, Luscombe Drinks, Eversfield Organic, The Shops at Dartington, Dartington Hall, Warrens Bakery, The Venus Company, Manna from Devon Cooking School, Salcombe Dairy, Deer Park Country House Hotel and the Royal Dart Yacht Club, helping to promote its 150th anniversary this year.

Commenting on reaching five years of RAW, Hayley says: “It's the people in Devon, and their impressive entrepreneurism, which has allowed us to build a successful and busy PR business. We've found inspiration in so many individuals and have had a vast amount of support from both the region's talented journalists, many of whom we now count as friends, and our clients.” Hayley continues: “I'd like to personally extend my thanks to all those who have worked with us in such a friendly, upbeat and highly professional manner.”

RAW is a member of the PRCA, of which Hayley sits on the South West board. Hayley is also on the board of directors of Food & Drink Devon. She has nearly twenty years' experience within food and drink PR. Jonathan has a monthly column as the yachting correspondent for Devon Life magazine. His background has been fully immersed within the marine industry, with a year spent learning the trade of wooden boat building, marine insurance and more recently marine surveying. Jonathan's passion lies in this area and his knowledge of yachts is vast. His lifelong ambition is to sail around the world one day, which would add to previously undertaken trips across the Atlantic, around Cape Horn, in Fiji and the British Virgin Islands, the latter three he sailed with the editorial team of Yachting World magazine. Jonathan has a Fairey Atalanta, 60-year-old wooden boat, which he is restoring.

Working in a relaxed environment, there is a high level of understanding at RAW that modern needs require flexible working hours, especially for mothers returning to work with young children who need to fit in hours between the school run. Jonathan and Hayley are themselves parents to three children under ten.
