Birch Appointment To Sales Director Supports Parkside Growth
Parkside head of sales, Paula Birch, has been promoted to the role of sales director in a move that will support the innovative speciality-packaging manufacturer’s growth into new markets.
As sales director, Paula will identify and commercialise business opportunities in key target markets, whilst maximising new business development within the existing Parkside portfolio.
Paula brings extensive experience of promoting Parkside’s advanced packaging expertise to the role and has been promoted due to her success in providing strategic leadership to the company’s sales team over recent years.
Her comprehensive track record in the speciality-packaging sector has been developed over 18 years at Parkside, and includes periods in accounts, customer service, account management and most recently, sales and marketing.
Paula commented: “I’m very much looking forward to my new role as sales director, and all the challenges that brings. We’ll be continuing to develop the fantastic relationships we have with our existing customers and partners to maintain our position in the marketplace, whilst strategically engaging with new brands and retailers to explore exciting new business opportunities.”

EHL Ingredients Boosts Management Team With New Appointment
Stockport-based food ingredient supplier, EHL Ingredients, welcomes Natalie Daley into its growing team as Technical Manager.
Natalie Daley will be responsible for product specifications, overseeing quality and food safety procedures and ensuring all food standards policies are met. As Technical Manager, she will create, amend and adapt product specifications, both for existing ingredients and new herb and spice blends, as well as oversee all quality systems to ensure they meet regulatory standards. With a Bsc in Food and Nutrition from Manchester Metropolitan University, Natalie brings with her three years’ industry experience.
The latest addition to the team is part of EHL Ingredients’ on-going business growth plan, aiming for sales of £7 million by the end of 2016, and brings the staff total to 30 at the head office on Broadstone Industrial Estate in Reddish, Stockport. Natalie will report to joint Managing Director, Tasneem Backhouse, who is delighted to welcome her to the team.
Tasneem commented: “Natalie is joining us at an exciting time for the company. Her valuable technical expertise and knowledge of policies and standards will support the company as a whole to ensure we continue to deliver high quality products, as we plan to increase our supplier base, and extend our product portfolio and range of international herb and spice blends.

In addition to Natalie’s appointment, EHL is pleased to announce promotions within the company. Susan Baron will now be working as EHL’s Customer Service Manager, Sherill Simm has been promoted to Account Manager, and Andrew Pickering will now act as Technical Administrator. Amanda Garnett has also been appointed as Purchasing Assistant.
The company supplies around 300 food ingredients and boasts a 200-strong organic range as well as over 70 custom blends. EHL Ingredients’ products are sold into the food manufacturing, wholesale, retail and catering sectors and used in end products, such as breads and bakery items, ready meals, healthy snacks and soups and sauces. They are also sold to speciality food shops, delis and organic retailers across the UK.
EHL Ingredients was awarded its fifth grade A BRC certification once again in December last year. Tim Paul Appointed Global OEM Development Director For Domino Printing Sciences
Domino Printing Sciences has announced Tim Paul as the company’s Global OEM Development Director.
In this newly created role, which has a global remit, Tim will support Domino’s sales channels and its Global Sector Development programme, working closely with the product management team.
With a well-established professional background in the coding and marking sector, Tim began his career as an Aircraft Engineer for the Royal Navy, serving there for over ten years. Tim then worked as a Sales Engineer at Metronic Printing and Coding, before joining Markem-Imaje in 2001. Over the next fifteen years, Tim fulfilled a series of OEM management roles, gaining a broad expertise across coding technologies, and most recently held the position of Global Strategic Account Manager.
Tim has also been a member of the Board of Directors at the PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association) since 2010, enabling him to maintain a broad knowledge of the latest developments and innovations that may affect businesses in the packaging machinery sector.
It is the combination of his beneficial insight and wide-ranging experience that make Tim a valuable addition to the expanding Domino team.
