Faerch Plast Announces Major Changes To Senior Management Team
In line with an ambitious future growth strategy, leading European manufacturer of plastics packaging for the food industry, Faerch Plast (tel: 020 8254 2300; www.faerchplast.com), has announced that Joe Iannidinardo will relinquish his role as Managing Director of the UK business to take up an exciting new Group position as Sales Director (New Markets) – with effect from 1 February 2015.
Joe’s new role meets Faerch Plast’s objective to exploit the huge market potential that it recognises for CPET globally. His new team will be resourced to reflect this potential and will include specialists in the Ready Meals and Airline Catering industries. He will also be supported by a Sales Project Manager.
In addition, Jason Gale has been promoted to UK Sales Director and will also be Acting Managing Director. An experienced sales professional with excellent management skills, Jason has been employed at Faerch Plast for 13 years. Prior to his new role, he was Senior Sales Manager GB North.
Lars Gade Hansen, Faerch Plast A/S CEO, comments: “Joe has done a fantastic job as Managing Director of the UK business and we now want to utilise those skills to benefit the Group. He will be responsible for identifying previously untapped markets outside of Europe where we are well established as market leader.
“Joe leaves a strong team in the UK and we are confident that Jason will take the business forward into its next phase of growth. The board want to take this opportunity to wish them both every success for the future.”
Domino Promotions To New Group Sales Director And European Sales Director
Domino has promoted two key members of its globe-spanning sales team.
In his new position as Group Sales Director, Ben Rock will draw on his long and varied experience within Domino to bring fresh energy to the sales approach around the world, while Will Edwards has been promoted to European Sales Director, a role which will see him lead the company's European business, including direct channels and distributors.
With a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from Sheffield Polytechnic, Ben Rock first joined Domino in 1991 as a Development Chemist, before eventually moving into a UK sales role covering the East Midlands region. He honed his leadership skills while heading up the UK Sales Team in 1999 until he relocated to Japan in 2002, where he served as Country Manager for four years.
Since 2006, Ben has returned to the UK to take on management responsibilities for the Global Key Accounts and Distributor Management teams, until landing the role of Group Sales Director in November 2014. He comments, "I look forward to leading Domino's ongoing sales effort, capitalising on our sales personnel's superb capabilities, excellent product portfolio and global consistency."
Before joining Domino in 2000, Will Edwards was a mechanical engineering graduate forging a career in the white goods industry. Specialising originally in the design of domestic refrigeration equipment, he was subsequently promoted as part of a leadership programme to Sales Manager, before moving into the logistics industry as an Account Manager.
Will's initial role at Domino was as a Territory Sales Manager for the Product Identification Strategic Business Unit, working primarily on new business accounts. He has spent the last 5 years leading the Domino UK business as General Manager. He says, "Europe continues to be an important region for Domino and I am delighted to be taking on this new leadership challenge."
Mike Hurst Steps In As New General Manager For Domino UK
Domino has promoted Mike Hurst to General Manager for the UK sales channel, replacing Will Edwards, who was recently promoted to the new position as European Sales Director.
Since joining Domino in 1991 Mike has held a variety of roles including overseeing start-up business units as a result of organic business growth and acquisitions. Mike began his career in engineering and after attaining a first class honours degree in Computer Science, he qualified as a chartered engineer, before moving into product management.
As Product Director for Domino, Mike was instrumental in three new business acquisitions and Domino's subsequent entrance into the high resolution inkjet printing and print and apply sectors. He also contributed significantly to the company's move into coding automation, ahead of one of his more recent roles, as Director of Sales Channel Development.
Since 2013, Mike has worked in the UK Sales and Service Channel, as Director of UK Sales, responsible for direct sales management and leadership of the sales team.
Mike says of his new role, "I'm delighted to be taking on full channel responsibility as UK General Manager and I am thoroughly looking forward to the challenges that this will inevitably bring. A key aspiration is to increase our footprint in our established industry sectors and to work to increase our presence in new industry sectors."
Will Edwards, European Sales Director at Domino Printing Sciences comments: "Mike's dedication and commitment to his work are key factors to his continued success. I believe that Mike will draw upon the extensive wealth of experience he has gained since joining Domino and put this to great use in this new role. This will place him in great stead to ensure we provide the very best sales and service to our customers, as well as support for our UK sales team."
