Cooker Upgrade Increases Wright's Pies Production |
| Northwest pie manufacturers Wright's Pies have made a major investment of new BCH equipment, in the process they have raised their production capacity to meet the increasing worldwide demand for their range of high quality pies & pasties. Two BCH 1000 litre pressure cookers along with separate vacuum cooling systems, have enabled Wrights to increase production of their pie and pasty filling product by reducing the simmering time required to create succulent meat fillings - often reducing this time from hours to minutes. This was also made possible following a major change in the cooling method used, by changing to BCHs vacuum cooling system which reduces operating costs compared to blast chilling, alongside additional benefit of reduced labour costs. The Crewe factory site produces a wide range of baked, chilled and frozen pies, pasties, savoury slices and sausage rolls. The system is fully automated using BCH's FlexiChef recipe system, which provides a fully automated recipe management system with complete batch repeatability of product ~ enabling easy, user-friendly operation. BCH manufacture a wide range of food production equipment including cooking, cooling and RotaChill cooling systems, vacuum cooking and cooling systems - all PLC controlled to guarantee optimum performance.
